Could you post you RPM's at different cruising speeds with the 4.77's? Say at 40mph, 65mph, 70mph, and 80mph??? I have seen where all the gears top out with 4.44's, 4.57's, and 4.77's, but still I cant decide

Man...that's a lot of cashola to fork over all at once. Glad it was worth it.

I want to do this but in stages. I'm poor! lol

I might be making it harder than it is, but forgive me I dont know how to figure the info out.

completely agree with OP. Good for you.

these 2 mods are truly awesome, albeit i only did 4.56 and act pp, comptech fly.

the PP makes you feel more connected to the car as you can feel the entire engagement process. stock feels numb and light.

the only prob with gears is that at first it feels so fast, but like with any power increase, you get used to it. it just feels normal now. way cheaper than FI though

WTG on the 4.77s - everyone that gets them loves them. I had them for nearly a year and I hated selling them because it made the car so much more driveable and fun.

Everyone gets whiny that the revs are too high on highway - and some people opt for 4.56 instead. The difference between 4.56 and 4.77 in 6th gear on the highway is only 200-300 rpms difference - so the 6th gear cruising is basically THE SAME! And for people with exhaust, the 4.77s bring the revs up out of the drone range so you don't have that droning anymore when you're cruising around 75-80mph.

I agree with the above post however, you will get used to them and a few months from now you'll be looking to go faster, yet there isn't much you can do cheaply while N/A. That's why I sold everything I had (CAI, J's header, T1R70 single, VAFC2, 4.77s) and went turbo.

Enjoy your car, but I know I don't have to tell you that. Go beat up on some stock S's for me

Look at the graph. The angled lines represent the different gears. Find your speed along the bottom, go up until it hits the angled line, then go to the left from there to see RPM in that gear to maintain that speed.

thanks for the kind words everyone...

i'm really happy about the upgrade and think that gears are really a mod that you can feel the difference right away.

if you have never been a car with gears, i'd highly suggest you get a ride in one. it will make you want them for your car
