Hey guys before I actually pull the trigger on the 4.77 gears i had one more question.
Will the acceleration say from 60 - 100 be better then stock? I know that the top speed is much lower,but how about the accelration at those speeds?
Ive been doing some research ,but didnt see anything meantioning this. Thanks

it should be better the only thing slow about gears is changing through them

General consensus is that 4.77s are too short for an AP2, but manageable on an AP1. If I went gears, I would go for 4.44s on an AP2.

I have 4.77 on my AP1. If i had a choice, I would of got 4.44. IF you know someone with 4.77, ask for a test drive.

A buddy and I did a fun run on the interstate one day(both had ap1's). He had forged 16" work emotions(11 lbs or something stupid like that) mugen single exhaust and 4.77's and I was stock(may have had a test pipe and K&N filter) but from a 60 roll, we were right next to eachother. From a stop, he would rape me, but from 60+ the gears didn't make any difference, from what we could see.
