You lost 3-4 mpg and you didn't notice the difference in acceleration? I saw virtually zero difference in my fuel economy and I definitely noticed the difference in torque, and so have several people that have driven my car. At the auto-x, my car just pulls out of the corners compared to how it was stock.

when I added my 4.77 it made the car much better, I think 4.44 would be better for a mild ap1 SC or turbo set up, you should have gone with the 4.56 gears with the ap2, or 4.77 if you had an ap1.

the 4.77s is probably what you should've been looking for rather than the 4.44s. a lot of us do speak highly of the 4.77s and a lot of us do not think it's aggressive at all. maybe you can dump the 4.44s to a FI person and pick up another differential but this time with 4.77s. i love the 4.77s but i want it plus supercharged boost (come on SOS)...

Exactly what revenge said. You being an AP2 would notice really nothing. The gearing in the AP2 is different than AP1. If you had an AP1 you would have noticed a much bigger difference. Go FI or try 4.77 for a bigger difference.

4.77 is more aggressive, especially down low, but he wont catch YOU after 100mph. He'll also be revving higher when cruising on the highway (engine wear and gas mileage), and shifting more around town.
I would never consider 4.77 for anything but an auto-x whore.
4.57 were too extreme for my DD (mixed city and highway), and no faster than stock gears overall.
I always thought 4.44 would be perfect for a DD AP1, but not drastic enough to pay for the swap. Should have been stock.
