Default 2006 seats change airbag light on

Hey guys. This is my first time writing on this forum and I want to apologize in advance if this topic has came up in the past. I have an 06 that I bought last year with torn driver and passenger seats. I bought a pair of 2007 seats and I changed them out. I didn't remove the battery or anything and when I was done, my Airbag SRS light came up. I even changed the module under the passenger seats to my 06 one and still no luck. Can anyone help me get rid of my airbag light? Do I have to take it to a dealership? My buddy has an OBD ll connector and I tried resetting the airbag light but it read an error saying its internal or something like that. Do I have to buy a whole new SRS module now? Thanks a lot

Try resetting/clearing the SRS light the manual way. If that doesn't work, you may need to recalibrate the weight sensor.

Do you have the seat belt wires hooked up as well? Reason I ask is some people like do unhook them to stop the warning sound but with it unplugged in an 06+ itll keep the SRS light on.

From what I have seen from months and months of searching and reading others going through similar thing, the only way to get the light to go away with aftermarket seats is to either fabricate/install the oem seat weight sensor stuff to the new rail OR just pull the bulb. Even then, I havent seen anyone completely confirm that they have retrofitted the weight sensor array to an aftermarket rail and had it calibrated by Honda. Thats just how it is until someone comes up with some kind of plug and play bypass, which at this point I dont think is worth it. Im just pulling the bulb.
