06 seats in an 05
Hello everyone.. I recently traded my 05 seats for 06 seats. As we all know the passenger rails don't fit properly so I had to modify them to fit, that's done... I have a few questions... Why is the passenger seat sitting higher than the driver? it even sticks out of the roll hoop cover. Also are the 06 female buckles different from 05? I cannot use my seat belt because the male does not go into the female buckle.... How can I fix this? I will take some pics tomorrow to show it. Thanks

thanks but I didn't know at that time, I had just gotten the car and I'm new to s2000. One question why does the passenger seat seats higher than the driver? Does it have to do with the rails? also are the 06 female buckles different from 05??? I can't engage the male into the female buckle and its my daily driver, I been driving without seat belt risking my life and looking for a ticket. thanks man...I hope to hear other answer from others if possible.

'06+ passenger seats do not recline as far back as '00-'05 (and the seats are a bit taller). I found this out when I swapped CR seats into my '04. I swapped rails (which had the buckles attached) and I also swapped the reclining mechanism so the passenger seat could recline back farther.
Hope that helps

Do you have both seats reclined to the same level? I know when I put my '08 seats in, the back of the passenger side was was sitting above the roll hoop and looked stupid IMO. I recline my drivers seat back a bit but the passenger side would not recline any farther. That is why I decided to take the reclining mechanism off my stock seat and swap it into the '08 seat. Now I can recline both seats back to the same position and they both sit below the roll hoops.
I can't comment on the seat belt buckles since I swapped my stock rails onto the new seats.
