Default 01 airbag into 06 S2000 wheel

I am looking to install an 01 airbag into an 06 S2000's steering wheel. But it will be going on a 95 civic. It will NOT be install on an s2000.

I already have an 06 S2000 steering wheel but w/o an airbag.

The 01 S2000 airbags are significantly cheaper, so i was hoping to install an older gen airbag into my newer gen wheel. Will it work?

The bag and wheel will fit together without any modifications.

Functionality I will not comment on as I don't have enough information to do so, and it was not your question.

If memory serves, the 00-05 have single stage airbags, and the 06+ have dual stage. I would imagine the harnesses are different. I remember a thread about someone getting the wrong year pass side, and his car and harness were opposite to what he got. It physically fit, but the airbag was not able to be plugged in. I cannot remember where in here I saw it, but it was about a dash being sold, and the pass airbag not being in the dash, and the seller taking forever to send it to the buyer. Then it was the wrong one.

Yes your right, they certainly do. The 06 has dual stage, and thats what was making me wonder if it would work or what i would have to do for the harness.

I wonder if i could use the harness from my 95 civic steering wheel, (which i plan to replace with the s2000 wheel)

My only concern would be fitting the actual steering wheel to the civic. AFAIK the S2000 splines are of bigger diameter.
