*UPDATED 9/26*Ap1 ebay lip review/diy
well i been reading alot of the ap1 oem front lip vs the ebay replica urethane lips and i wanted to try it for myself.
i know there alot of s2ki members that would perfer to buy and spend $350-$400 for real oem which my opinion is if you got money then hey go for it but the reality is that money is tight these days and i dont justify buying a $400 part especially if your lower on springs or coils that would put your lip at risk ...
so with that said i pull the trigger on this ebay polyurethane front ap1 lip
this is how it arrived
started by lifting the car putting it on jacks
now what i did i put the lip up to the bumper and it was a great fitment so i used 2 self tapping screw and screwed the two ends first to get it lined up before i finalize the location of the bolts i was going to use
so so far tools needed
jack
jack stand
10mm socket
10mm wrench
other tools for the bolt installation
drill
drill bits
2 self tapping screws
about 10-1 inch bolts with same amont of lock nuts(maybe less)
and 2 washers per bolt
water/beer
and at least a extra pair of hands
so when got underneath the car i saw that the factory bolts didnt line up with the holes that comes pre-drilled on the lip. so thinking how the hell im going to secure the lip without making it look funny or messing up the bumper it self . so i decided to line it up and make my own holes and use the bolts, washer and locknuts to secure it
sorry i dont have pics of the whole process
but these are some pics after i made the holes and put the bolts on
and underneath the bumper
now the lip is awesome i really like it especially because it bends and will not break (only bend)
so here are some final pics
at the end the lip is on perfect no cutting was done to the lip besides thee holes i made
now the bolts by the wheel well i will be painting them black
UPDATE
ok guys here are the pics you been waiting for ....lip is finally painted yayyy
this is the lip
bolting the sides
final results
more pics to come after my photoshoot this weekend
fell free to ask me if you got questions

I wished i never bought my replica lip. I mean don't get me wrong my lip fitment was near perfect but i could've of spend it on a oem without having to paint it.
