AutoX Sunday (7/9/06) at MGA Research in WI
The Tri-State Sports Car Council will be hosting their fifth AutoX of the 2006 season on Sunday (7/9/06) at MGA Research in Burlington Wisconsin.
Recently, the TSSCC van caught fire and burned beyond salvage (photos http://sports.ph.groups.yahoo.com/group/ch...os/browse/51a2).
The fire occurred on the way home from Event #4 at Miller Park on Saturday June 24th. Everyone got out safely and there was no personal injury. The Milwaukee Fire Department extinguished the fire before it spread to the cargo area, so almost all of our equipment and gear was salvaged. The only real loss is the vehicle itself, AC/DC inverters, event battery systems and the FM/PA transmitter.
We have accepted an exceptional offer from one of our members to acquire their enclosed trailer to store our gear until such time as we can find a suitable replacement vehicle. Since the rest of our gear is serviceable, we will probably just rent a window van and a gas generator for each of remaining events.
The rest of the season is still on and still presenting some very sharp competition. But I am confident that for the remainder of the season we can deliver some high quality and very competitive events for the entire membership
