Attention All CHICAGO Folks

That's awesome that you guys won. I dropped by to see how you were doing and ran into Jason and it was looking good at that time (about 12:30).
It was interesting to see the track configuration they had you running. It was totally different from anything I had seen out there in the past.
Hope you guys had a blast,
Clark

The big question is how did you do, Clark? We stuck around and watched some practice sessions but had to leave before any racing. Drooled over the shifty's, though!

The shifters are severely fun looking. They are quite a bit of work to set up and maintain though compared to the 100cc karts.
I had an okay weekend overall. In the first race I was a bit too timid when going wheel-to-wheel with others. After my miserable first weekend I just wanted to finish a race. I think I ended up 10th or so out of 20. Then in the second race I got crashed into on the first turn (1st turn incidents are typical at that track). Somebody actually ended up with their kart on my back and I was stuck. The feature race was more fun than the results looked. I was aiming at about a 5th or 6th place when I spun avoiding a mess of karts spinning in front of me. That put me off the track far enough that by the time I got back on track I could only manage a 12th place.
I'm hoping to actually finish ALL 3 races this weekend (hmmm, perhaps I shouldn't have typed that out loud).
