I used LeatherSeats.com to renew the seats on my '06. Most of the install went well. It is a struggle to get the clips at the bottom of the seat-backs connected. I asked about any "tricks" to help, but never heard any. I was able to get them connected by using the base of the clip to "pry" the opposing clip to get them to lock. No amount of pulling/stretching would get the clips engaged. I've heard some other DYI'ers ended up using hog rings. The location is out of sight, so appearance isn't an issue.

Good luck with the install. I posted some pictures of my results in "Leather Seat Replacement vs. Seat Covers?".

Seats are done. I'm never good about taking photos while I'm concentrating on the work, but here are the results. It's not absolute perfection, but I'm not disappointed.

You're 100% right about those bottom clips... total pita. I ended up using a wide plastic trim removal tool pressed into the "J" side of the clip. The other side I pulled with just hand strength. My hands ache and my swear jar is brimming.

They look nice. I used 3M spray foam on mine and then shaved it to the correct contour. It seemed to work well enough to fill out the foam-depleted area. I did cover my repair with a thin sheet of neoprene from an old wet suit and it has been holding up for 3 years.

Interesting. Is it the same 3M adhesive product I used (Fast 74) or something different?
