Yes, they are indeed a different, brighter shade of red. When I was redoing my seats, I cut a small piece of door card leather off of the back side and sent it in to get dye matched. After repairing my bolster and dying the seats, I put the Clazzios over my finished seats and just left them on there to protect my work. Kind of dumb, but I had them just sitting around.
The clazzio red doesn't match the door cards, but neither match the carpet so it is just up to the car owner as far as what he/she can accept. My biggest gripe wasn't the shade of red ... I was lamenting the loss of the helmet holes. That said, I am going to take my Clazzios off this week to see how my seats held up after being covered for two years.

From a comfort standpoint, the Clazzios are nice. They have just the right amount of padding to seem more comfortable than stock seats.
