Radio door
My radio door isn't coming down properly, heck it isn't coming down at all. Something must be wrong with the spring and I have no clue how to fix this... Will someone please post a descriptive way to fix my radio door pains?
Thanks.
Thanks.

I had the same problem. This would have been easier to explain if I had taken pictures, but I didn't.
There is a small torsion spring that can pop out of place. If you pop it back, it will be fine.
If it is broken, you can fix the spring by uncoiling one loop, straightening it and then cutting it to the proper length. If you do this, you can make it a little bit longer so that it doesn't pop out.

I recently installed the CR radio door in my AP1. To do this you have to take all of that apart and I can think of a few things that may cause it.
1. There is a small circular spring that forces the door down after you push in to detach the latch. There isn't alot of contact surface for 1 end of the spring. If it isn't seated in the right places, it is rendered useless. Check to see if the spring is properly installed, or broken.
2. There are small gear teeth on the side of the door itself and a gear on the surrounding cover, if something small were to get stuck in these teeth it would "lock up" the mechanism, and then the spring wouldn't have enough force to push the door down.
To get to these pieces I mentioned above you would have to remove the assembly and investigate from the back side. There is a DIY around here for the radio door swap, it will have pictures that will clear things up.
