Default Plastic piece under soft top???

Replaced my soft top and the install went pretty well.

How the heck do you put the rear plastic pieces back in?
They are obviously super easy to remove when cutting the top apart but how do you fit the pieces back in with the top installed?

Have 4 pieces to put back in (2 sides, rear tray, back long piece) and no idea how to do it. Every youtube video cuts that part out.

Thanks!

Did you look in Chapter 20 of the Service Manual? The real one not the one with the Japanese bikini model on the cover.

Thanks for sending that! I didn't have the manual.

The section on the soft top really isn't help. Appreciate you posting though!

Download all 900+ pages and search for the interior panels. Pretty sure (weasel words) I saw something about removing/replacing them in the manual. No index other than the start of each chapter but the PDF is searchable -- unlike the printed manual.

Carefully. I think the one under top goes in first after you sneak it in thru the back after removing the carpets
