Do you hack up another manufacture brackets or can you buy non-specific rails to do this?

Agreed. I'd buy a pair!

Has anyone heard anything about these mysterious lowering brackets/rails? I would love to sit 2" lower.....I could see the color of the stop lights, the rollover bars would actually save my head from being crushed (if there was a rollover, which I doubt) I want them now......

I doubt such brackets exist. Based on researching this during the past year, it appears one might choose between after market seats with significantly thinner seat cushioning/shorter seat pan or cutting holes in the stock seat pans, welding on new seat pan mounting for the tracks and scooping out seat cushion foam. FYI - I decided to lower my rag top as often as possible in order to see stop lights. Regarding the stock rollover bars, I think they are too flimsy to save my head and installed a roll bar with double diagonal braces (see: http://www.bethania-garage.com/s2000.htm )

Hmmm...that's too bad. Yeah I like having the top down as well. Thanks for the link for the roll bar! I should get something like this...

Not to revive a very old thread but to answer the OP’s question these look to be NRG universal seat rails with some custom tabs welded on.
