hard top adjustment and squeaks!
the latches at the front on the hard top (or soft top for that matter) can they be adjusted so the hook pulls tight when you lock it shut?
one of mine has a bit of cardboard on, I guess to take up the slack.
or any suggestions of what can be put there to make it tight to work well and look ok instead of just a shoved in screwed up bit of cardboard.....very hot sports car!
Also, any tips on reducing squeaks from hardtop? what have you done to mod yours to be quiet?
cheers

You can apply some lube/grease to where the latch meets the striker to reduce some squeaking. Do you have hardtop strikers or the original softtop strikers? If you have an rattle in the latch itself, you can put some foam weatherstripping in the latch assembly to help.

if so they will be originals for a GT model. I don't know if they will be hardtop or softtop ones

easiest permanent solution, get a flathead, ratchet, and either a 10 or 12 mm socket (cant remember). Use the screwdriver to pop off the plastic panel over the rear hardtop hardware where you'll find three bolts per side, unlatch the front and rear latches, loosen the three bolts on either side and adjust your hardtop rearward and re tighten and assemble. This should move your entire hardtop rearward a few mm causing it to snug up, if this doesnt work, then order some hardtop catcher, easy install can be found on youtube, shinetsu grease can ease the squeeks as i hear it, though after installing hardtop strikers and adjusting my hardtop rearward, i found no need for grease. Hope you get it figured out as i know how frustrating it can be.
