Guardian Designs Steering Wheel - Installed
I just received my Guardian Designs/ motor-opolis steering wheel. It was really good dealing with this company, Angelos was very helpful along the entire process. You can check out their webpage at https://motoropolis.wordpress.com/
I love the look and feel of this wheel. I went for the extra M3 thickness , thicker wheels just feel better in my clumsy hands. Perforated leather on sides, F-zero blue stitching, flat bottom, M3 thickness, blue upper centre noon stripe, and thumbrests are all part of this wheel. The flat bottom option is mostly looks, you really don't get much more room under the wheel for ingress and egress, but I knew that going into the sale as Guardian told me that up front, if there is any extra clearance under the wheel it is likely just a few millimetres. The D-shaped design is pretty comfy though.
The service from Guardian Designs was great. The wheel comes out of Europe, shipping to North America was very quick though - less than one week in my case. They delivered a completed wheel to me at a fair price, no core charge and I get to keep my OEM wheel if needed. Quality looks top notch. Can't wait to get it on the road now. If anyone is looking for a quality wheel check out Guardian Designs, they offer great service.

The new leather is a matte finish, in time it is going to glaze over as it gets polished by hands and oils, etc. and it will darken up/gloss up. I keep the airbag cover treated with 303 Aero so it has a bit of a dark sheen to it. My 2015 Jeep has a very similar matte finish steering wheel cover on it, after one year it has darkened up and glossed up just from regular use, it is quite common on automotive leather wheels.

Wow, that looks great! How much was the delivered price to Canada? Did you get charged duty?

Their pricing depends on what options you choose, best to discuss it with them and get a quote. Keep in mind that they supply you with a complete wheel, no need to send your wheel to them and no core charge, so you can keep your oem wheel as a spare. Pricing was very fair, shoot me a pm if you want to discuss the price rather than me posting in public forum. It is always best to get a quote from them based on the options you want.
