Default Glass Separation softtop

I'm new to the forum and have looked at a lot of the posts but didn't see what I was asking about. I apologize if I did not search well. I have owned a 2005 S2000 for the last 4-5 years. It is kept in a humidity controlled garage . The soft top when I bought it looked new. Today while driving I noted the rear glass is separated from the material . I drove by the auto upholstery guy I have used for years and he said there is no way to repair it . That the material was "heat bonded" to the glass =He said he would have to check but that a replacement top would be around $2000. The top looks great otherwise and has no ribs or tears. I don't use the top in the up position much , just when it is 95+ degrees. The a/c works great . Is there anything I can do short of a new top? Thanks in advance and if I posted in the wrong place again I am sorry. Tom

Buy the 3M Window Weld adhesive. Clean up the dirt, debris at the joint/seems, apply the adhesive between the glass and the soft top cloth...put a bunch of pillows or whatever you can find from the inside to push the glass firmly against the top. Go back outside and wipe off the extra adhesive or add some more to missing spots. Use some tape and tape down the glass to the edge of that soft top to make sure the edges stay in place. Leave it like that for a day or two. Your top should now stay there for life.
