I know ... boring question ...

Is the mounting hole or the fit going to be a problem if I buy a set of AP2 OEM seats and mount them onto my AP1 chassis?

I ask this since I heard people mount AP2 OEM seats onto AP1 rails.

So I'm also wondering about this: can AP2 OEM seat rails fit onto an AP1 chassis?

I think 04-05 will the newer d.s. is different. Not positive but search google

00-05 both passenger and driver side swap between all years. 06+ only the driver side is a clean swap. The rail of the passenger side are different as is the holes in the floor pan to mount the seat of the 06+. I think you can swap the 00-05 rails on an 06+ passenger seat to fit it into a 00-05 car and the other direction as well. That may mean a little drilling and welding on too. But it was something I was considering at one time, but never closed a deal on the a set of seats.

Is the passenger weight sensor for the newer seats built into the seat or into the rail?

Is there an official weight reduction thread that shows the actual weight of various parts from the S ?

( at this point, we can introduce jokes about the weight of your girlfriend, but ... let's not )
