Default Civic Type R Shift Knob

Does this knob have a good weight to it? Also, will it sit lower than the stock knob? Thanks!

I stole this pic off s2ki

I installed an FD2 gear knob off a CTR today. Brushed gear knob and red lettering

I installed it without the locking nut. Its quite a bit smaller and sits just over 1/2 inch lower. I find shifting is better and fits more snug in my hand, from time to time i would miss gears with the stock gear knob.

For 30 odd quid i cant complain.

i have mine coming in the mail this week. ill let u know. ive heard and read about it sitting lower and u dont have to use the lock nut. also it weigh more than the stock but not by much.

I have that knob. A friend got it off of the interior deals here on s2ki. I love the knob. It sits a little lower than the stock teardrop knob. I saw where niptek said its lighter than stock but i dont remember if it was or not. Id recommend this knob.

This is same size and all as the CR knob isn't it? Definitely a nice looking shift knob.

This was one of the first things I picked up for my car. Its essentially the CR knob with red lettering instead of yellow. I've got the lock nut on mine because I didn't want to lock tight the threads. Still sits lower than the stock knob.
