While the ZR1 is an impressive machine. You cant quite compare 2 cars that are nearly $30,000 apart in MSRP. I think the GTR performed rather well and I prefer the looks personally on the interior and exterior of the GTR. HOWEVER you can't get the GTR in a six speed and that sucks.

its kind of unfair test. comparing top of the line Vette 630hp+ to a base GTR. we will just have wait and see what the Nissan boy can do w/ the V Spec

up the boost on the zr1 and it will beat the v specs ass too
Like it has been said already, the ZR1 is the top tier level 3 of the Corvette, it is a great car and out performs the BASE MODEL GTR. So I think every single argument here is moot regarding that point.
I would take a ZR1 over a BASE GTR, but I don't think if I had the money I would spend 100k+ on any Chevy no matter how badass it is. The reality of actually having to live in the car, no thanks. If I just had a ton of money and needed a fast car for the soul purpose of just going fast, sure the ZR1 is hands down the best bang for buck right now, but I care about what it looks like and feels like on the inside as well as the outside. If I have to drive the thing on any sort of daily basis I couldn't accept the interior being so cheap.

Yes the GTR is awesome and the V spec "should" be very fast. But the fact that a RWD full Manual transmission car is beating the current GTR with AWD and all it's computer technology for only $30K more is pretty awesome.

What are you talking about? The GTR was targeted from the begining to compete the Porsche 911 Turbo. When was price an issue in that comparison? It wasn't because the GTR won in that comparsion so all the fan boi's didn't have anything to complain about.

So many people get their panties in a bunch over these videos. It sounds like a Hondatech argument in here. Take the cars for what they are. Simple as that.
