YELLOW FEVER

damn Chris, the car is looking pretty sweet... riding dumped as always... I think with the fenders, and the color choice of the wheels, the Spoon front end might just work... you know your gonna need a carbon GT wing now, right?

Engine looks good. The exterior is nasty. The fenders look terrible. Side skirts are too edgy for the Mugen front. I've always hated Work S1's to they are killing it for me. The blue is cool, but not next to flat black (dry carbon) and Spa yellow. It's a nice effort but the car needs to be painted one color. As for the "it's insane to paint those fenders, they aren't made to be painted" comment, The only S2000 I've seen without painted CF fenders, is the Cwest S2000 Race car, and the reason why is because the whole car is CF. If C-west only made CF fenders, they would probably still paint them the color of the car. How many cars do you see in JGTC with unpainted body components, diffusors, wings, and canards aside. But then again, this is a street car with race car parts, so it's okay to look retarted, especially since it's driven an 100mph so often. Which is also irrelevent to tracking an S2000 since Honda didn't focus the car for Salt flat runs.
On a positve note, rocking the Spoon bumper and painting the whole car Flat Black would make it one of the sickest S2000's I've seen.
I'm a sucker for flat black.

sweet mods , always did like the work meister s1's, but just a little too race ready to not be touching a track. I still like it. I just wouldn't do mine this way unless it was strictly for car shows & I planned on selling it.

That car is way too many different colors(yellow, blue, black,CF looks satin or primer). In person the car probably looks better, but in pictures it just doesn't flow that well. Those carbon fiber fenders need to get painted bad.

Thanks for the feedback. Again, not to beat a dead horse but these fenders are NOT intended to be painted. Bottom line, end of story. Its exactly what the other member stated. Would you paint your Mugen CF hardtop? I think not. Thats just plain ignorance.
On the other hand if the sun or weather starts to fade/destroy them then of course I will add a clear coat to them but not right now.
Cwest would have not painted them the color of the car. Defeats the whole purpose and to them paint adds weight.
Spoon bumper is becoming more of a reality now.

Maybe in flat black it'll be better.....who knows. And since you got the wheels painted blue to match the cage, why didn't you show the cage? Damn I can't wait to show mine! For all that, you couldwent Takata green or something for the wheels ...........oooooooooooooorrrrrrr maybe not

[QUOTE=VR WHAT,Mar 29 2005, 07:03 AM] Can't go along with you on this one Chris (with regards to the Spoon front).
