I'm 100% with OP on this one -- every word you wrote is exactly right.
People like the Buick owner are unable to see the world beyond themselves.
Egocentric to such an extent that they fail to see outside of their bubble.
...which is why you can http://www.youparklikeanasshole.com/ and print out tickets to leave for people who can't park.

I feel your pain... I currently attend USC for college and pay 300$ a semester for a parking garage because i assume that it would be SAFER for my s2000. One day i had a truck take up two parking spaces with his wide ass tires and i had to go in the passenger door. Then i got a couple dings and one nice scratch on my drivers side fender. The last straw was the absolute douchebag that parked his truck and i was sitting in my car. His girlfriend and him were arguing and she threw her passenger door open. Thankfully i had my window down and i stopped it maybe 3 inches from my damn door. Shared a few choice words with them both. Now i drive my 1999 Integra GSR to college.

Wow on the truck. I drive a truck for my DD and I make sure I am in the middle of the parking lanes.
In other great country like Japan, everyone reverse park and always respectful to others.

Man, all this 'I'd key their car' talk.
Personally, I'd never key someone's car -- I don't care WHAT they did to mine. And I LOVE my car.
I might wait for the driver in the parking lot andkey their face talk with them...but not the car.
Just my .02
