Nice!!! I have the same Alpine W505 in my AP1 but I used the OEM bezel.

IMO the JDM oem navigation unit looks awful. It's obviously an afterthought. It could be better integrated by extending the side with the hvac controls and placing the unit under the vent and moving the hvac controls to where the radio is. It would make it easier for the driver to see the screen as it will be angled towards him/ her.

Yes I agree it's a must have, once you have it you'll wonder how you ever lived without it Dealer service guys swear it looks stock!

IMO the JDM bezel is not that bad however the labor/time you spend to modify it will far outweigh just having a custom one built in the first place. It's not something you can use "off the shelf" if you know what I mean. I've modifed a few JDM bezels and it's not easy work.

Check my 09 GPW build thread for updates as I plan to do a variation of this in my own car except we're trying to see if we can integrate an Apple iPad into the dash similiar to what Ferrari did with the Scuderia 16M (Ferrari in the interest of saving weight has no radio/tuner but simply a docking station in the dash for an iPod touch.
