Default ver.2 New and Improved 7" Double DIN Dash Cut

This was my first attempt at doing this dash cutting install and the screen was a 6.5" fold down unit which turned out pretty good:

You can read up more on the original install here:

For my 2nd attempt, (this is not my car) but belongs to one very lucky s2ki owner, we recently got the chance to improve our work and bulid something even nicer with a 7" Alpine W505 deck. This one gives a lot more inputs than the Eclipse and now has USB/Ipod/DVD/Radio/CD/AUX and Bluetooth + NAV all from one unit.

The bigger screen presented some challenges but we massed it into the car with a custom bezel, whatcha think?

What modifaction was involved behind the dash to allow the double din to fit. The only reason why I ask because I'm in the process of cutting a spare dash I have right now for the same install.

7" Wow, that is what she said.

Another excellent install Rick. I only wish the bezel matched the matte of the dash.
