Good stuff and for a DIY. The forum has its share perfectionist but with a job like that you can take there money to the bank! What kinda of paint did you use?

It took about an hour to two hours to get it to the bare metal look. I really liked how that looked to but there are fine sracths in the metal that werent very attractive. Belive it or not i used ricer paint on the cover hahah. The real name is High Temp VHT Bright Yellow. I got it at jcwhitney considering its a few miles from my house, but you can get it at most parts stores. I was sceptical on how it would turn out but very happy with the final product.

it should only take about 10 minutes to get down do that bare metal.

to remove the paint use "aircraft stripper". it comes in a rattle can, you spray it on, and that stuff eats through the paint like abeast. then all you do it wash it off by blasting it with a hose or something, and its a much faster process than sanding all the paint off.

just a word of advise to anyone wanting to repaint valve covers, i did this on my integra using gold, and i loved how it turned out.

i think my f20c could use a new outfit soon too...

i really like your yellow. looks good, and pretty original.

EDIT: i see thats what you did, i was under the impression that you sanded it by hand. why did it take so long to strip it? what did you use?

I did use air craft cleaner on it for removal. But the red wrinkle finish was deep into the pours of the cover so i just took my time and got it all out. It might have took less time i dont really remember...I have this posted on honda-tech...and a member said cover looks good but the actual spoon valve cover has a perpose and funtion. What is the function it has? is there a baffle in it or something?
