Its actually 40 some odd #'s lighter than the BMW's typical cast iron inline six such as the S50,S52, and S54. Nowhere near as light as our F20, but lighter than what is typically swapped in E30's.

In addition, this build uses alot of aluminum components such as subframes, which also aids in keeping the weight down, while inceasing torsional rigidity.
