Those first wheels look kind of like DPE's/Iforged wheels. I like 'em. I'm not really feeling the idea of staggered wheels on an EVO, but I do like the huge lips.

He already stated they are the same size wheel just different offsets to achive the different sizes in the lip width.

Even though the widths are the same, if the wheels have different offsets, they will be staggered to an extent as far as track is concerned. Which with the specs you are describing, the rear track will be and inch wider than the front, causing for even more understeer on an already understeer plagued car. for poor fitment. If anything I'd do 9.5" wheel front, 9" wheel rear with the same our similar offsets and the same size tire. But I think non staggered 17x9.5 medium-low sized offsets with wide rubber work the best on the Evo, and shit, the S2000 too!!

idk who ur referring to but:

the wheels i ordered are 10" all around same offset all around, 1" smaller front lip because of the 1" extra backpad to clear the 4 pot brembos

the offset=same meaning the track is exactly the same front/rear.

idk about the evo in general but i have the MR tuned to oversteer prominate. the ass slides around just like the S2k.

also, for everyone else:

Subaru AWD because of the gearing requires exact same tires all around and wheel weights to be even. the EVo AWD system works fine w/ different sized tires and different wheel weights similar to the Mercialago system. im going with the same offset all around and same size tire purely for the fact of people not being stupid and trying to talk down to them since they dont know anything about AWD

for track use a wider front wheel and wider front tire is best because it keeps the ass on the ground instead of tripoding and has no affect on the drivetrain.

Okay I gotcha, I mis-read. I thought you were going with differnent offsets and that's how you were getting the different lips. I think it should work out fine, and with 10"'s back there, you'll have an awesome stance. Bad call on my part and for running a slick set up!

am I the only one that really hates this style of wheel???

I have never liked wheels with a polished lip and I don't think I ever will.
I don't know about "hate", but I'm not into big lips at all. I do hate polished lips though, especially if the wheel is black or a dark anthracite. .

By staggered, I don't care if its by width or offset... I don't like it on an AWD car.
