I actually WISH I had steelies instead of my AP1s for snow wheels. The AP1s look so bad on the car, like the offset is wrong or something. It's literally about 4 inches into the wheel well haha.

Yes, this is the rear wheel that's wider. I'm almost embarassed to drive around like this haha.

nothing really,..just the chance of getting a nice curb mark if u slide,...if you live in the areas where they salt,...it could wear off the finish,....after a long time.
you guys gotta remember,....steelies are WAY cheaper than oem wheels even if you find a "deal" used. id still cringe if i slid into a curb with oem wheels, with steelies id just laugh

It really affects wheels that have any sort of polished surface. Since it's not "protected" the salt over time really does a number on the surface. I know lots of us here have some sort of polished lip or something.

Over time, it even takes a toll on OEM wheels. But that's a fact of life.

you use crappy rims because you dont want to be switching tires on your rims every winter. And it is cheaper to buy rims and mount tires once then mounting 2 times a year.

FWIW....

you can fit 15" accord steelies on the rear. they clear the tops of the calipers by about 2mm or so
