It's fit like that to allow for air to flow through the engine bay much quicker therefore cooling things down inside the engine bay. My sister's husband uses a setup like this on his 240sx which he competes with in drifting events.

BTW, i love my buddy club spec 3 on my rsx as well. Nice vid!

It may be "JDM" to lift your hood, and hell even functional on the track, but honestly for the street its just "ugly"!

that civic has a B18C5 swap (integra type r motor) and is pretty quick. has beaten a few s2000's around here including mine. it's a nice quick ride.
