Dissapointed with my Canon S100 Digital Elph so I got the Sony DSC-P1. 3.3megapixel with movie capability. The color/sharpness of these photos haven't been altered to give you an idea of it's point-n-shoot capability.

My criteria for the camera was, smallish size, built-in lens cover, and full of features. All these really help when I ride my motorcycle and shove it in my Aerostich riding suit. Happy so far!

Nice pics I would have to drive 60 miles to the beach to get any decent scenery.

Here's a shot from my digital Canon Ixus with 2.1 million pixels (on default settings). I am quite pleased with it. It just takes a little practice. Sorry .. no stook.

That's the wierd thing... half of my pictures would come out, half came out blurry as heck... all on default. Since I had a S10 before the S100, I missed alot of the features slightly bigger cameras had... thus far the P1's been great!

That's the only bad thing... it's more expensive, but has so much more capability. $695 via mail order. Check out www.streetprices.com or www.pricewatch.com for the latest lowest pricing.

Even with my DC4800 3.1Mpixel camera set to 3.1Mpixel (compressed, not uncompressed TIF), most of them come out blurry as heck! It does take tweaking and practice. On some of the other DC290's and DC260's, it seems the consistency is much more predictable than this camera.
