haha....yes. Even with my sebring I was still a member of the dark side. Dark Chrome Sebring to be exact.

Owen, the new IS is a georgous car, but too small, and the 6 speed manual is only available on the 250, not on the 350. A similarly equipped 350 is about $10,000 more than a TL, so for me, it just was not worth it, especially without the 6 speed. It is a very well built car though, just not for me personally!

I actually saw my first one on the road today, and it does look very agressive from the front.

I test drove the is250 with awd at the lexus driving event and it was NICE. they had a 330i for comparasion and i actually broke traction to the rear of the bmw. the IS felt much more confident. didn't get to drive the is350 though, ran out of time.

car is nice but i cant ever own a FWD car again. you should get the A spec lip for it. they look money with the lip and dropped with nice wheels.

my buddy at work has a black aspec with 19 ich LE37s in GM looks money. have fun with the new car.

haha...yeah, I said the same thing about FWD, but if you drive one hard, you will be fairly impressed with it.

Personally, I dont like the A-Spec front and rear. Too flared for my taste. Makes the car look higher off the ground, esp the front lip. I think the A-Spec sides are great though, very subtle.

Congrats dude! The TL goes into 2nd a lot easier than the S. I think you were the guy who also had problems with the S tranny, if not, then please pardon this random comment... I've also kinda wondered about how the TL knows to distinguish between Reverse and 6th.

cyber: Yes, I had drivetrain problems with my car from day one when I bought it new. It just never seemed to end.

The TL 6MT has a lockout that will not allow the car to go into reverse while moving forward. I just found that out the other day looking for something in the manual.

So from a standstill, you can't go into 6th, right? Friend of mine bought one last year, when he picked it up we were trying to figure out how to back it up, didn't realize it's the exact same shift pattern.
