Fully flared, no rubbing issues up front pictures are 17x9+40 with 255/40 azenis... have run 17x10+52 with 265/40 starspecs
, currently running 17x9.5+55 with 265/40 starspecs

It would be extremely hard to get that much pull without paint.

You'll definitely mess up the paint to give them a nice flare like most of the cars you see above.
