Um, ok.

A lot of people, including myself, will disagree with you on this one. My only mods to the car could be these two pieces and the car already looks better. Sure, I am going to do a few more mods, but they certainly won't be done just to make these two pieces look better.
A cf hood and cf trunk on an otherwise stock AP1 looks weird and/or out of place to many people including me. BUT, if you dump it and slap on an OEM front lip then it will look 10X's better . The drop cleans up the cars appearance/stance and the front lip adds that dumped look in the front that your going for.

I just sold my 1x1 weave CF trunk and went back to stock and love the look again because I was so used to the CF look. I think I may even paint my Js Type V CF hood in yellow/cf to go with the all yellow look again since its going somewhat back to OEM.

Good luck on your car bro, nice start.. NOW DUMP IT!

Thanks for your feedback.

I won't be dumping it anytime soon because in doing so I will no longer be able to compete in AS. I would like to stay in AS for as long as possible.

I have a Seibon hood and trunk also. My fitment is the same as factory. You have to drill/roundout the factory hinges to get more adjustment room. I won't lie, it took me about 6 hours of fitting/drilling to get the hood and trunk to sit perfect. Just be patient and take your time.

I'm no longer running trunk springs because they force edges up.

Any pics to show us what you've done? I'm really interested in this option

I don't think anymore adjustments can be made. The space is equal on both sides of the hood. So, moving it one away or another won't make a difference. The bottom line is the hood isn't wide enough.
