Default Seibon CF OEM hood and trunk lid

I had my Seibon CF OEM hood and trunk lid installed yesterday. Here are some "up close" pics of areas where the fitment isn't the greatest:

I think the fitment is ok seeing as how both pieces only cost $1000. Would have been nice if Seibon made the hood about 1/4" wider, and did something about the "bow" in the trunk lid.

You get what you pay for is the way I've always looked at it.

Right. At this point I won't be entering the car in any car shows so it doesn't make that big of a deal. However, if I ever decided to compete the car I would need better quality (i.e., fitment) CF products.

How does the side of the trunk look? Did you remove the trunk springs?

I have expierence in Seibon trunks for the S2000. Fitment is ok for the price that you are paying and should have no complains. If you have high expectation then this will not be something that you want.

The side of the trunk which aligns to the sides, they curved up and you can see it doesn't sit flush. Factory stoppers cannot be installed because the trunk is thicker. One last thing is the place where you bolt the latch, you have to work on it before you can get it on.

Frankly, the fitment seems to be terrible, it's definitely not acceptable in my book.

Unhook the trunk lid "springs". I'll bet you the "bow" in the middle goes away.

I think your car would look better without the cf hood and trunk. Nothing in your car compliments them.

Maybe it is in progress. Everybody can't do everything at once.
