the cop gave me the ticket, but i'm not taking that for an answer. there were too many other factors involved for it to be a black and white who's fault is it deal.
i've been driving for 10 years without incident, and have always been very smart about others on the roads. in hindsight, i know how it could have been avoided, but at the time, my choice still seems to me to be the logical one to make.

ouch. Good thing your mugen hood and bodykit weren't on there. If your insurance is paying, the cost of the hood and bumper that you won't need to replace should cover your deductible. Is the wilwood destroyed?

That is the main reason I get out of the way for no one. If someone doesn't have enough room to come into the parking lot (and it has happened before), I just sit there in a staring match with them until they decide to keep going and turn around to come into the parking lot.
I had a 5 minute long staring match with a woman in a SUV once in the exact same type of situation. She was screaming at me at the top of her lungs telling me to move. But I'm not pulling out into traffic that I can see. If she didn't have a fat, overgrown SUV, I could have seen around or over her to pull out. But since she had an SUV, I decided to just wait her out. She finally backed up, gave a half hearted "one tire peel out", down the street, made a U turn, and then came into the parking lot. But by that time, I was Vtecing by her just to rub it in.
Did I mention I hate SUV's?

hehe ben, i'm with you now.
and on the wilwoods, i looked at them closely, and they were untouched. those gt-3 rims of mine can take a serious beating!
and, waterbug, that's why i've been as light hearted about the whole deal in the first place. the body kit and hood are en route now. if i didn't destroy anything too serious, i may come out better in the end. that's the only satisfaction i'm getting atm out of the whole ordeal.
gotta stay positive. like many others said, it could have been much worse. like ... my wife could have been driving.

i'm glad it wasn't serious wortham. don't let them tell you you need another s2000. if you've got a lot of mods like that it's definately not the same the second time around!
