How does the M coupe compare to the S2k? What are the advantages and disadvantages? Seeing both of these two cars are very similar, having two is just, DAMn!
Engine Performance.
S2000 - Tame until 6,000 RPMs when VTEC engages then it throws you back into your seat with a smile.
M Coupe - Like the F20C, the S54 is also a high revving engine. Lots of torque and power from the start. The car is excellent top end power, still pulling hard past 90 MPH.
Advantage - M Coupe
Transmission.
S2000 - Snick, snick. Can't get any better than this.
M Coupe - The throws are as long as rowing a boat and I hate the clutch delay valve.
Advantage - S2000
Handling.
S2000 - Best handling car I've ever driven, period.
M Coupe - Best handling M car in BMW's current fleet but still can't compare to the S2000.
Advantage - S2000
Brakes.
S2000 - Good stock brakes but I wish they were bigger.
M Coupe - 13.6 front and 12.9 rear cross drilled rotors, this thing stops on a dime.
Advantage - M Coupe

Wow, two of my all time favorite cars. Excellent choice of color too. The M coupes are just great, they are extremely rare too. I wish that BMW would make the front more aggressive like the old 6 series from the 80s. Now we can really call that a land shark! Nice cars nonetheless. Congrats!
I drove one and ordered a 335 coupe, but the Z4M was a bad ass drive. I just needed more seats.

I always hated the front end of the Z4, not so much because it looks like the smiley, but because the front ends of the other bimmers look so much more agressive. So much potential

The long shift throw and CDV are easy fixes.
You can get a ZHP weighted knob from Tischer BMW for about $50. It's a very popular mod and actually greatly improves driving experience.
And get a modified (dummy) CDV from zeckhausen.com. You can of course simply take the CDV out, but the modified CDV prevents the dealer from knowing you changed the CDV and thus voiding your drivetrain warranty.
