Your point is taken.
This is my fourth BMW. My first, an 94 3 Series convertible had all sorts of electrical issues. My second, an 01 M3, suffered a blown differential within the first month. My third, an 04 M3, was in and out of the shop for the first three months of ownership with ECU problems after they uploaded the euro software. My fourth and current BMW, the M Coupe, has already visited the dealer for a rear reflector replacement, broken cup holder and center console trim adjustment.
So, besides being gullible, why would I purchase another BMW? Simple. The S54 engine is pretty much bulletproof, as well as the transmission, differential and brakes. Yeah sure, the interior trim leaves a bit to be desired for the $50K car but I didn't purchase it to enjoy the damn cup holders. I purchased it to drive the shit out of it.
So your point is taken; give it a rest and go hate in someone else's thread.

not trying to stir up anything but here is my opinion about BMW.
I work for bmw as a service tech for 3 years and i think they do have their share of problems i would never say that they are a crap. BMW cars are built with a lot of hi tech equipment that utilizes computers to operate them and just like any thing they can fail. You can't compare a CRX to a bmw because a CRX is just a shell with a power train. You have to take into consideration that their are so many gadgets in bmw cars that make it appealing. Also Thats why they offer full warranty. I myself would purchase a bmw for its comfort. i do not find a crx as being comfortable. I love m-coupes, my choice before getting the s2k was a Z4 M-coupe. BTW nice collection of cars.

You have a lot of other Choices instead of BMW Or Mini That they are WORST than BMW....
The 10 months that I had my 2006 IS350 was nothing but trouble since day 1. It was in the shop seven times for mechanical related problems and twice for cosmetic defects.
The final straw was when I brought the car in to replace the sunroof molding that was deformed (2nd time BTW) and in fixing it, the dealer left a nice 8 inch scratch on my rear bumper. When we alerted the Service Manager, he yelled at my wife and I and called us liars. When I called Lexus corporate customer service, they were useless. They said that because dealers are independently owned, they do not support or stand behind their dealers or cars so too bad.
My IS was definitely a one off dud but Lexus dealers and customer service sucks.
