S2000 Coupe
Let me begin these observations by telling you that my undergraduate degrees are in mathematics and art and my masters in electrical engineering. My observations are also driven by my father who spent endless evening hours at the dining room table drawing automobiles, race cars and airplanes; and my son the graphic designer.
I had desires for a 4th generation Prelude since the day they hit the market, but the salesman, who was a friend of mine, wouldn’t let me test drive one, because I had too many children to fit in the car. Years later I purchased a 94 Si and then a 96 Si. With proper tires they are the best winter cars I’ve driven that is up to seven inches of snow. I purchased a 2002 AP1 S2000 several years ago which I drove in the summer, Prelude in the winter, but have now sold the Prelude.
By casual observation it appears that the same design team was responsible for the 1st, 3rd and 5th generation Preludes and another for the 2nd and 4th generations. The later group might also have been responsible for the S2000. This becomes even more believable if you blend the S2000 with the roof and rear deck from the 4th generation Prelude. I built a model as a design exercise and merged a couple of pictures to prove the concept.

You need to taper the roof line where it meets the trunk...otherwise how (geometrically) will the trunk open and how would that look?
