have you considered removing the dash? no, seriously. other than the necessary structural components to keep the instrument cluster in place, it appears that the entire mass over the passenger side could be removed. I honestly don't know if this is feasable-- just curious if you have considered it and decided against it for reasons x, y and z....

just my $.02

this looks like the automotive equivalent of anorexia. "No, your car is not fat. You need help. We can help. Here, put these heavy ass rims on your car. No, IT WON'T KILL YOU. Yes, it is still beautiful..." you're not taking laxatives before hitting the track are ya. (j/k)

How much weight did you save from stripping ?
What's your car's current weight at the moment?

Before we swapped over to the hardtop, the car weighed 2625. The theory is that there is a 25 pound delta between the softtop and hardtop, so we should be right around 2600 pounds (the softtop is out). Removing the glass would certainly help, but I haven't gotten to that point yet.

Neil

I am signed up to run the HPDE in my car and Jason will be running Honda Challenge. I don't think he'll be driving my car at all that weekend (and I'm not at your level ).

See you in August.
