i have the tyco ones and they are pretty good bang for the buck.

Yeah...and you get to collect miniature tools (mostly screwdrivers, nut drivers, and allen wrenches) Typical "modded" car used to run around 300+ (without motor or electronics)...visit tamiya.com (as that is where most of the cars came from)
