dude I knew you go way back, man...
I started way backkkkkkk bro..... What I trip out on most, is that back then when I started something, it wasn't big, and people didn't understand my reason for doing so... If you recall in one of the other pics you can see my 88 Toyota Celica All-trac, that boosted up to 412 hp back in 98'

Remember AWD wasn't even popular back then other than the Talon and Eclipse people, and nobody knew what I had....

Stupid me I sold it for $1000... Now I can't even find one...

Rom, I was just about to jump all over his argument but you beat me to the punch.

BTW, Nice build! I didn't know you were into Porsches.
Yea Sal, I was so into it... I use to sell Porsche parts in Pomona back then too, I even joined the P.O.C. (Porsche Owners Club) who were all a buncha a$$holes.... One of the main reasons I left the scene..

You know why? Cause the overall design is not only timeless, but why change a winning platform?
Haha. Take it easy tiger. They are def. nice cars and wicked fast, I'm sure. But after this many years, I think they can make at least one or two cars that look a little unique. Plus, I'm a Jeremy Clarkson fan. The engine's in the wrong place. Love the pics though.

too toward the back.
I am not the expert, but ppl say cayman has better weight balance than carrera because of the engine location in the car.

It is obvious placing the powertrain closest to the center point of any chassis will give the best overall balance of any sports car.. Hence the Maclaren F1, Bugatti Veyron, and NSX.. But before these cars were even thought of, Porsche had the RR concept in place back in the 50's when it was considered awkward.. The Porsche 550 Spyder was the backbone of MR (Mid-Engine Rear-wheel drive) style configurations, so if it wasn't for the original RR setup, than the MR would have never materialized..

With today's advancement in technology and innovation.. You can build any setup FF, FR, MR, RR, and AWD and be competitive.. But you definitely won't see alot of FF setup's running in a Rally stage... Nor will you see AWD's running in F1 until rules change all that..
