I've been thinking for a long time about getting a PS2 just for GT4.

I bought Forza expecting it to be some great game, and I hated it. It doesn't come close to GT4 IMHO. The reflections on the cars looks fake on Forza and I don't like how the game plays. Project Gotham was better than Forza.

I dunno, maybe I'm crazy, but to me the driving characteristics in gran turismo 4 are completely rediculous and unrealistic. gt2 and gt3 were much better IMO. I'm aware that the graphics in forza suck, but to me the gameplay and the tracks definitely make up for it... Also, all this is not to say I don't enjoy gt4, but I just love forza.

UGH...
The Gran Turismo games are anything but realistic. They definitely look nice...but realism?? I think not...
If you want to play a realistic game (painfully realistic sometimes) check out Live for Speed. Live for Speed The physics in that game are rediculous.
Twenty minutes of this will either be a LOT of fun, or a LOT of frustration. A steering wheel and pedals are essential. Without good controls, even the best games are pretty much a waste.

If you set the car up right on GT4 and take off all the aids and use street tires the cars drive fairly real.. my only complaint about GT4 is that the cars tend to push a little too much but that can be adjusted.
