Another older Japanese gentleman came around, we'll call him J
J: how you know him?
Me: From BestMotoring Videos, he is our idol!
Me: What are you doing here?
J: where you come from?
Me: Taiwan, what are you guys doing here?
J: Honda company....
Me: are you going to F1 tomorrow?
J: *smiles, yes.... enjoy your trip
Me: thanks, you too
Then I walked over to Gan-San, shook his hand again and said "it was an honor to meet you "
G.S.: still smiling as he nods his head....
This trip was wayyyyy worth it
I seriously thought I saw M.Schumacher. I walked over and was peeking around with my camera, one of the guy turned around and I asked "is that mike?", he said, "no pictures..." So I walked a couple feet back and pondered if it was him (they were all in Ferrari clothing and the nose was the trademark) but then my friend on the right said it wasn't him whom I thought he was. Oh well, the suspense was fun anyhow...
BTW, I've never been face to face with Micheal, but I've been face to face with Alesi (was at the same restaurant), Fisichella, Wurz, Ralf Schumacher (bumped into him coming off the elevator in our hotel), David Coulthard and girlfriend at the time, Bernie Eclestone, Jackie Stewart, Paul Stewart (his son), missed Rubbens but our friend saw him in the hotel lobby, and sat at a table across from M.Schumacher's wife for breakfast. Geez, I feel so special.
Check out the guy on the far left in the top pic with the red Ferrari hat and shirt. His name is Daren Adkins from Kansas City. He signed about 5 dozen autographs and received many free drinks last weekend.
Everytime I look at those pics, I ask myself, "Indy or Suzuka next year".... See, I downed 3 of those subs between when the red lights and the checker flag But then I finally found the turkey legs outside stand J Oh well
