I used VHT wrinkle paint on mine. This is the only clear pic I have.

you can get it media blasted with walnut shells and it gives it a very even matte aluminum look. I did it on my old civic's valve cover just before i wrinkle coated it and it looked pretty nice.

are you using very fine sandpaper?

I just polished my SPARK PLUG cover(not vc, i know) and top it with a brush aluminium look.


I am pretty sure it will be the same for the vc, but i have yet to mess with the pretty red coat.


hehe, honda use the winkle paint to hide the ugly cast finish
