I did put on washer and lock washer, but was still not enough for the front bolts. So I needed Bolt, washer, washer, lock washer

I've installed four of these on various S2000's including mine! Never had a problem with the washers, just a tendency for the bolts to want to shift and cross thread. You must go slow and loosen all surrounding inner control arm brace bolts. We are all very pleased with the price, craftmanship and effect it has on the car! Great mod for the money!

I'm getting a bit long in the tooth and I know my powers of interpretation may not be as keen as they used to be but this sounds like you have the lockwasher at the wrong end. Make doubly sure the lock washer is between the bolt head and the ordinary washer(s).

Sorry if I'm repeating myself or have misinterpreted your post

Bolt -> washer(s) -> lock washer = WRONG
Bolt -> lock washer -> washer(s) -> = CORRECT
