for the front two bolts, I had to put an extra washer to the bolt since the bolt was longer than the threaded hole. So after I tighten the bolt down, the bar wasn't firmly pressed up against the mount. But the washers solved the problem.

I don't know if this is the problem with my car only. If not, I think Whiteline need to supply a couple more washers for the front two bolts; or make it shorter.

Nice. $?

Also, I suggest getting shorter bolts rather than adding washers. Bolts are cheap! The X-brace is the lowest part of the car, and you are making it even lower.

How much of a difference did you notice in the handling?

He's not actually Adding an extra washer (or even multiple extra washers) would make no difference to the brace height at all unless you did something very unusual (like add it between the brace and the control arm). Also, the bolts are hi-tensile bolts so I wouldn't go replacing them with something just picked up from the hardware store.

I know for a fact Whiteline supply the right bolts for the brace so I suspect it's just an oversight during the install procedure, the most likely explanation being the ommission of the lockwashers.
