I wouldn't say an RX-7 is "ballin rich". You probably could have picked one up for the same price as the S if you know where to look.

Although I have always loved the FD, I think if the panels weren't riveted on in the back and molded in, it would look a lot better. Like someone mentioned before it looks better from a distance where it tends to blend in more. They are definitely a timeless design! S2k looks good too, LMs are yet another timeless beauty.

Perhaps he was referring to the total cost of ownership (new engines, maintenance..), not the cost of the FD. I know that's whats keeping me from getting one.

LS motor. Problem solved.

I've had some friends with RX-7's that were very reliable. They have a very bad rep but I think some of it has to do with people just beating on them and not taking care of them.
