Performed "Minor" Surgery on the GT3 last night
I got a few new minor mods for the GT3 while I'm patiently waiting for the rims so decided to install it last night. Here is where the "goods" went....was replacing the D2S bulbs in the GT3 with the 6k bulbs and also added the clear front blinkers.
Gotta luv the Porsche engineering since the entire headlight is one modular unit with it sliding out once unclipped with the Porsche factory tool. No bumper removal or even a screwdriver needed!
BEFORE the swap with OEM 4300k bulbs:
AFTER the swap with 6000k bulbs:
The light is quite noticeable in the bluer light output and really looks nice on the white exterior color. Now the m3 and gt3 matches

holycrap that was easy to take out lol... looks a lot better
I tried two diferrent brands since in my s2000 I am running the PRO-lumen units and in the GT3 I ended up getting McCullough bulbs. I have yet to drive the GT3 at night but it seemed the McCullough bulbs are a bit more intense but this could be due to the projector design.
Yea the s2000 is a PITA requiring a full bumper removal and all those 10mm bolts (that install must have taken me over 2 hours!) The GT3 is a walk in the park as long as you know what you are doing...hehe
My rims I'm keeping on the D/L so just have to wait - only clue is that they are Japanese rims......
