After being on this site for a while, im starting to see more of these moved on threads.
I will say im glad you did it for your family. But I also think there can be many excuses when a love for something is lost. In a way glad you sold the car, maybe someone with true passion for the car can own it.
Sorry if that comes out offensive, but you arent missing the S so I feel a thread created to express that is almost like an insult. Either way goodluck. And yes I probably am dramatic but the attachment to this car is pretty amazing.

The last Laguna AP2 I had was my second S2000. I've been a part of this community for 6 years and have been extremely active in it. As tacky as it sounds, the S2000 has been my life.
And like the others posted... I'm in my third S2000 right now, and the STi is gone. Didn't even have it for 4 months. I realized within a couple months that leaving the S2000 was a mistake. BUT, I finally did get into the color combo I have always wanted, and picked up one of the last GPWs to come to the states(a rare find).

if you don't need 4 doors and 4 seats, the s2000 is very hard to beat

Haha no I dont smoke crack, sorry if my rant symbolizes someone who does. And far as the passion statement goes, the definition for the word allowed me to believe that passion is something that sticks. But again, this is a crack smokers definition .
And its not tacky at all if the s2000 is your life, it is indeed a very big part of my life as well. I have never owned multiple s2000's. I purchased mine brand new in 2004 (2003 Ap1) and fell in love or "content" instantly, so I understand your long run with these cars. I have recently been wanting to purchase a second s2000 just for track duty but as time goes on these cars seem to be neglected , very much reminding me of the dc2-r chassis that met a similar demise.
I can honestly say I am glad you are back in an s2000. I read somewhere in the thread that you enjoyed the power that the STI had, you could always turbo the S
