amazing piece of work right there. but whatever happen to the driving experience? this thing is so techy is it really the driver driving anymore or the computer?
just seems like theres no more room for cars built purely for the experience like the s2k or nsx. everything has to have technology in it or its not even worth looking at...

i love it, i think its beautiful, and it outperforms EVERYTHING in its price range, and most of the exotics that are hundreds of thousands of dollars more.
i have always loved the GT-R's i really want an R33
and it might be loaded to the teeth with computers and nifty technology, but that ADDs to the driving experience in my opinion. they car doesnt drive itself. you still need to put it where you want it. this car just happens to respond better to that then others.
i love it!

GTR is truly a monster when it comes to performance. I have the utmost respect for that car when it comes to engineering and performance.
However, when it comes to looks ... I guess Nissan could have done a slightly better job. I do see these cars quite often on the street. In fact, I see them way more than I see ITRs and CTRs nowadays (not joking). And they really don't look that good hehe.

that many in HK? how many GTRs are allocated over there?
I used to think they were the same few cars, since they were mostly black and white (btw, it's an ivry white colour ... not pure white ) But then I started taking a look at the license plates, and they were different every time I see them!!!
Afterall, the GTR isn't expensive at all. For your reference, GTRs are going for 1.04 mio HKD to 1.18 mio HKD depending on what options you get (1USD ~ 7.8HKD). And here is a comparison of other cars (approximate prices):
S2000 - 450K
335i - 750K?
Cayman S - 1.0mio
NSX - ~1.1mio (when it was still in production)
E90 M3 - 1.35mio
911 GT3 - 1.90mio
911 Turbo - 2.4mio
599 - 3.0mio?
So the GTR is actually quite cheap on relative terms ... I believe HK grey-market importers imported a lot of these. I still see these things sitting in showrooms when other countries were talking about selling this car at a premium at dealers.
There are a few that are listed on the internet:
http://www.carcity.com.hk/used/nissan.htm
http://www.car8.com/2car.php?car_sort=20&s...TR&or_model=GTR
Some of the shops didn't list their inventory on the internet, but have the GTR in stock.
Anyway, the thing is seriously fast. But then ... my friend said it's not fun, and decided to sell it after having it for 1-month ... mmm
I really want to see how the NSX-replacement fares against this Gozilla-GTR. I hope Honda will not embarrass themselves and make a big come back, after Nissan stole all the big spotlight from the press!!!

it's fast as hell and all but it just doesn't look supercarish to me
